BollywoodFan has translated all the lyrics from Aamir Khan’s nephew Imran’s new film Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na (released by my beloved Shammi!); the music is by AR Rahman and lyrics by Abbas Tyrewala. He has kindly also transliterated the Hindi into Roman spelling, and it’s a treat all the way around.
So much so, that Abbas Tyrewala himself left a comment (BollywoodFan is not so sure it was really him, but I am!). BollywoodFan has also footnoted his translations to share his vast knowledge of Urdu and Hindustani. You really must visit if you are interested in such things. Help me encourage him to continue!

Thanks for pointing this out Memsaab. theBollywoodFan does such a great job with the translations. Can’t wait to see this movie, and knowing the meaning of the lyrics in advance will help increase my enjoyment.

Hi
This movie is supposed to be a hindi remake of the telugu film Bomarillu.
So if any of you guys did not like the original, then perhaps you may not enjoy the hindi version either!
cheers

Whilst JTYJN is an excellent album this just happens to be the song of the year:

Agreed, it is a beautiful beautiful song :-) Nice to get so much AR Rahman all at once!
And Anonymous: I just got Bomarillu on the recommendation of a friend! Will definitely see it first so I can compare, thanks for the info :-)

The soundtrack to Ada is interesting. And yes, Memsaab, it is great to have two concurrent A. R. Rahman releases! They’re quite different and only further showcase his versatility.
Meherbaan is a beautiful song, and I love Hawa Sun Hawa by Sonu Nigam and Alka Yagnik too! Hope to talk about it soon. ;)
As for Bomarillu — I think I’ll wait to watch it after Jaane Tu, like I’ll wait for Aamir Khan’s Ghajini before watching the original.
